Bengaluru, August 1: As part of the World Breastfeeding Week 2026 celebrations, Medicover Women & Children Hospital, Bengaluru, inaugurated its state-of-the-art Water Birthing Suite, marking another significant milestone in its commitment to providing safe, comfortable, and mother-centric maternity care.
The newly launched Water Birthing Suite is designed to offer expectant mothers a natural, soothing, and stress-free childbirth experience through water-assisted labour and delivery. The facility is supported by a team of experienced obstetricians, neonatologists, anaesthetists, and specially trained nursing staff, ensuring the highest standards of safety for both mother and baby.
On the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week, the hospital also organized an awareness programme highlighting the importance of early initiation of breastfeeding, exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months, and addressing common myths and misconceptions surrounding breastfeeding.
The Water Birthing Suite was inaugurated by Ms. Srivalli, Centre Head, Medicover Women & Children Hospital, along with Dr. Praveen, Dr. Lathish, Dr. Shivashankar, and Dr. Teji Davane. More than 50 mothers participated in the event, making the World Breastfeeding Week celebration a grand success.
To commemorate the launch, the hospital announced a limited-period inaugural offer. Families who pre-book their delivery package can avail a ₹10,000 discount along with a complimentary Suite Room upgrade.
