India’s gross foreign direct investment inflows totalled $37.7 billion between April and July, according to data released by the government, underscoring the country’s continued appeal as an investment destination despite global trade and geopolitical uncertainty. Net FDI inflows stood at $10.8 billion over the same period.
Singapore, the United States, Mauritius, the UAE, and the Netherlands together accounted for 76 percent of total FDI during the period. Indian equity markets also posted gains over the broader financial year so far, with mid-cap and small-cap indices outperforming the benchmark Sensex.
